This month, our Special Collection will support the Worthy Now Prison Ministry of the Church of the Larger Fellowship (CLF). This program reaches some 2,000 people living in prisons, the majority of whom learned about Unitarian Universalism from their incarcerated UU peers.
The CLF’s Pen Pal ministry is a one-on-one letter-writing connection between a UU living in prison and a pen pal who may be their only contact with the outside world. Worthy Now members receive regular publications such as CLF’s Quest, UU World magazine, and the Worthy Now newsletter. New faith development opportunities are in the pipeline if there are resources available to make them happen. The amount collected today will go directly to the Worthy Now Network in support of this important work.
