Food Drive & Other Aid in Response to SNAP Cuts

In response to the cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) FUCSJ is having a Food Drive for Second Harvest. Thanks to everyone who donated food and other essentials last week, we already brought over a large donation to Second Harvest.

1 in 8 Americans rely on SNAP to help put food their table. Making this a national crisis. We are still collecting canned food and other non-perishables (peanut butter, protein & cereal bars, dried beans, etc.) No expired items, please. The collection will run through Christmas and may continue longer, if there is interest in keeping it going.

We also have people in our church community who are being impacted by the cuts, if you need support please contact Rev. Matthew, revmatthew@sanjoseuu.org, 562-754-8756, or talk to him after the service. We have Safeway gift cards for those in need.
