Voting is a Spiritual practice. It is an expression of the inherent worth and dignity of every person who is created of equal value. Thus, voting is sacred. Unitarian Universalism (UU) and other faith traditions affirm every person’s inherent worth and dignity as well as the interdependent web of all life, as stated in our UU Principles. Voting is both a collective action and a right that corresponds with our spiritual beliefs. Casting a ballot, or voting, has moral and spiritual dimensions that UU congregations must live out to promote the common good, especially on November 3rd.
