Extending love, kindness, and forgiveness toward ourselves, for many, can be a challenge. Structures of harm depend on our being disconnected from our own inherent worth and dignity, our inherent connectedness to all things, and the love that holds us all.  It can be a journey to move away from stories that suggest we must change, conform, or try to remove what makes us unique and beautiful and at home in our bodies, in order to be loved. It can be a journey to extend kindness, love, and forgiveness to ourselves. There is great wisdom that exists, counter to stories that we are “not enough”. This wisdom can support us in engaging in healing care of ourselves, healing that can ultimately also bring more healing to the world.
