MULTI-PLATFORM Service!

The theme of this month invites us to explore “Living with Intention.” Are we ready to “live with intention” in this new year? What will make it possible—or at least more likely—that we might stay true to our best intentions on how we want to live, to relate, and to be?

In Meditations of the Heart, the Rev. Dr. Howard Thurman offers a beautiful reflection called “The Moments of High Resolve.” “Keep fresh before me the moments of my high resolve,” he repeats three times, knowing how easy it is for life, the world, to pull us away from our intentions.

Today we look at what keeps us from remaining true to our best intentions, and we explore some practices that may help us this year to reconnect, again and again, with those radiant moments of our high resolve.

Music this week includes hymns #6, “Just as Long as [We] Have Breath” and #1028, “The Fire of Commitment,” along with Guitars Aloud’s beautiful rendition of Miley Cyrus’s song “The Climb.”

For this MULTI-PLATFORM Service, up to 40 people, all masked and vaccinated, can attend in the sanctuary—NO RESERVATION REQUIRED. We have plenty of room!

Other members, friends, and guests can join us online at this Zoom link:
