Summer Solstice

We have been resurrected with Nature’s arrival of Spring, and soon the Sun will reach it’s maximum magnificence. So we are resurrecting the Summer Solstice Celebration after the pandemic on Wednesday June 21st from 7 to 9 PM. We have an exciting line-up of ritual leaders and performers for this participatory event.

You can join in if you choose with the solstice rituals led by Anne Cronin and Valerie Voigt from South Bay Circles, and the special toccata spiral snake dance led by Eric Meece with music by J.S. Bach. Performers include our special First UU band Guitars Aloud, fingerstyle guitarist and expert composer Doug Young, and brilliant pianist and composer Raffy Espiritu, plus a live organ prelude by Eric Meece. To conclude this special event we will have an improvisatory music circle led by our musicians. Bring your instruments and join in!

This live event will be held at the First Unitarian Church, 160 N. Third
St., San Jose 95112.
