7:00pm
At 1:47 pm on Wednesday, December 21st the sun reaches its southernmost point in the sky, we experience the shortest day and the longest night of the year, and winter officially begins.
Join us at church and online at 6:50pm for drumming and 7pm for our Solstice Celebration with music (including songs performed by the Alegria Singers and Frank Farris), drumming, poetry and meditation; and the labyrinth filled with altars.
We invite people of all ages to bring their own drums and join us for a dive deep into the longest night and out the other side into the light.
Contributors include Rick Merritt, Colleen Cabot, Pagan Drummers Aaron DeNardo and Don Schulz, Dianne Saichek, Frank Farris, John Ector and the Alegria Singers, Phe Starr, Diana Mecum, Dena Dickinson and Bill Baldwin. Monty Low, Bruce Halen and Madeline Morrow will provide Tech.
