“Revolutionary Love,” civil rights activist Valarie Kaur writes, “is the choice to labor for others, for our opponents, and for ourselves.” On this Valentine’s Day, let’s reclaim love as a “form of sweet labor.” We will listen to Black voices in Unitarian Universalism, past and present, that haven’t always been heard, yet they teach all of us (all races, ethnicities, identities) how to labor to make the Beloved Community a reality.
Please come welcome our newest Worship Associate Stephanie Dorman and delight in the special music we will offer! We’ll open a space for sharing our Joys and Sorrows, too.
The Book Study on Widening the Circle of Concern begins today at 2:00. Please be sure to sign up with Office Manager Linda Yépiz: office@sanjoseuu.org.
