The Alegría Singers bring us a haunting new anthem, “O Earth, O Earth, Return,” with music by Bill Douglas, arranged and edited by John Ector. How could we have imagined the birth of Earth, before we learned (at least partially) the science of its history? What does this imagination, stretching back into the distant past, tell us about how we are to go forward with our longing for the earth’s, and the climate’s, healing? How can our sense of awe strengthen our resilience?
With help from some of FUCSJ’s own scientists, let’s find out!
Worship Leader: Rev. Nancy Palmer Jones
