On the first day of Advent, Joyce Miller and Colleen Cabot will offer a service reflecting on their journeys to greater understanding of Indigenous ways of life; the historic trauma of genocide for the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band, and their resilience in surviving; and a path toward healing as settler colonizers. We will share John Ector’s flute composition, “Lament for Juristac”; songs will be lead by Frank Farris; and a recording of the author reading “When the Mission Bell Rings” will be our Story for All Ages.
