People of Color Unitarian Universalists, are often are building bridges between worlds, languages, cultures and our UU faith.

The vision of DRUUMM California is to uplift, amplify, and center BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) Unitarian Universalists. We seek to dismantle white supremacy by centering the stories, lived experiences, and spiritual expressions of BIPOC UUs.

Each of us has a role to play to dismantle white supremacy within, among, and beyond our UU walls. Let’s get ready together!

We invite all who identify as Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) to join us after the service for a sacred time of building a beloved community in a closed People of Color caucus.

REV. KEV (he/him/siyá) was ordained by the First Unitarian Church of Oakland on October 1st, 2023, the first day of both Filipino American and LGBTQ History Months. He serves as a Chaplain at Sequoia Hospice, Faculty Advisor at Starr King School for the Ministry, and Consultant for Partnership with the UU Church of the Philippines. Rev Kev founded the California statewide chapter of DRUUMM (Diverse Revolutionary UU Multicultural Ministries), hosting quarterly retreats for BIPOC UUs. His ministry is rooted in Collective Liberation, where “none of us is free until all of us are free,” as Black Voting Rights Activist Fannie Lou Hamer said.
