Please Call Me by My True Names

Please call me by my true names

Buddhist teacher Thich Nhat Hanh’s beautiful poem, “Please Call Me by My True Names,” asks us to wonder: What are our “true names”? Who and what names us? What do these names mean for our understanding of ourselves and how we are to live? We’ll practice ways to discover and unpack our many names, and we make time to share our Joys and Sorrows, too, for the wholeness of
our real-life experiences can lead us toward self-knowledge, integrity, community, and love.
