Over the past few decades, there have been tremendous strides toward equality for the LGBTQIA+ community. Though there is still more to be done—particularly for our Trans and Non-binary beloveds. One of the most important factors has been LGBTQIA+ folks coming out to friends, family, and the public which remains a vital tool for social transformation, as well as personal healing. But coming out comes with risks, which is why we need religious communities that are welcoming, safe, and affirming for LGBTQIA+ folks. Guitars Aloud will perform “This Is Me” by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, from The Greatest Showman.
