Join the members of the Women’s Alliance as we commemorate International Women’s Day (March 8) and celebrate the efforts of the International Convocation of Unitarian Universalist Women (ICUUW), whose mission is to empower women and girls worldwide. The ICUUW has been awarded special consultative status by the United Nations Economic and Social Council in recognition of its extraordinary work in a wide range of countries including Bolivia, Guatemala, Hungary, India, Kenya, the Philippines, Romania, Ukraine, and the United States. Hear about the upcoming Convocation in Transylvania! Please bring to church (or have nearby, if you’re watching on Zoom) a photo of a woman you want to honor on International Women’s Day. It could be someone you know personally, or it could be someone from history or the other side of the world whom you admire. You’ll be invited to share the photo and the name during our ritual.
