MULTI-PLATFORM SERVICE

A Wake-Up Call!
This Sunday, to launch this month’s theme, let’s reflect on those moments in our lives when we’ve had an “awakening”—an inbreaking of new experience, knowledge, compassion, connection—that has turned us in a new direction that’s truer to our best selves, closer to the call of Love. What awakenings, large or small, have changed the course of your life, your thoughts, your loves? What awakenings do we need now?
The music this week sings to a range of awakenings that call us in a “good holy direction,” as Rev. Nancy likes to say. From the Muslim adhan or call to prayer, to Ruth Huber’s “Wake Up,” inspired by Greta Thunberg; from John Ector’s solo on “Ready or Not, Here I Come,” by Michael Hedges, to hymn #7 in Singing the Living Tradition, “The Leaf Unfurling,” led by Bev Clifford and Dianne Saichek live in the sanctuary, we’ll feel our hearts and minds stirred awake.
Wide awake, we’ll find our connections and compassion as we share our Joys and Sorrows, too.

Our Special Collection this Sunday goes to the Transgender Law Center in honor of March 31’s Trans Day of Visibility.
