Waking Up to What Is

Drawing on the teachings of the late Thich Nhat Hanh, Worship Associate Bill Bowman and Rev. Nancy look at ways to wake up to what is. What helps free us from personal judgment and judging and teaches us to live into lovingkindness? What allows us to hold the world’s suffering, like that caused by war, and still wake up in the morning? Our answers will be a “work in progress.” Come help us discover the way!

          Music includes #1031 “Filled with Loving Kindness,” #155 “Circle Round for Freedom,” and the haunting “Prayer for the Children,” by Kurt Bestor, sung by the Alegría Singers under John Ector’s direction. Eric Meece will add to the soundscape with music on the organ.
