The Partner Church Committee is planning a pilgrimage to our Unitarian partner church in Homoródszentmárton, Romania this summer. For those traveling with the group, the itinerary is to depart San Francisco or San Jose on July 17 and arrive in Budapest on July 18. We will have a couple of days in Budapest, then 1 day in Kolozsvár and 7 nights in Homoródszentmárton. On the way back to Budapest, we will stay overnight in Deva and have one more night in the city of Szeged, Hungary. We will depart Budapest on August 1 and land back in the bay area around midnight August 1. This may change a little depending on available flights.

 

We anticipate the airfare to be about $1,500 and the ground portion will be another $1,500. We will be purchasing plane tickets in the near future. If you need financial assistance for the trip or a bridge loan, let us know. We can start fundraising projects as needed.

 

Many of us are considering adding additional travel at the beginning or end of the trip and will be joining the trip in Budapest.
